In 2014, the M.V. Mary Ann was purchased from the Taverna family by the Moama RSL Club, after having faithfully served for many years as a cruising restaurant. Since then the M.V. Mary Ann has undergone an amazing transformation into a state of the art, contemporary functions vessel.
Faithful to the old sailor’s tale, that reads to change a name of a boat is to invoke the wrath of Poseidon, God of the sea and brings nothing but bad luck, the Moama RSL proudly announces the arrival of the M.V. Mary Ann, located at Riverboat Dock in the heart of the Port of Echuca.
The M.V. Mary Ann offers a rich, modern dining experience, with menus that feature the freshness of local ingredients, complemented by wines, locally produced from our region and beyond. With the ever changing views of the Murray River, dining on the M.V. Mary Ann is unlike any other culinary experience in the region.
The M.V. Mary Ann is sure to impress.
The M.V. Mary Ann vessel has been a popular icon on the Murray River in Echuca for over 25 years.
In 2014, it was purchased by the Moama RSL from the Taverna family, who were retiring from the business.
An impressive refurbishment program was then commenced and has culminated in the magnificent, modern, contemporary cruising restaurant and functions venue that you see today, located at the Riverside Dock in the Port of Echuca.
Moama RSL is your complete venue for fun, relaxation and good times. Established in 1990, the club is renowned by locals and visitors as the best value Club in town. Open Daily from 10am until late.
The Discovery Centre at the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre is the starting point for a voyage of discovery. Several audio visuals, models and displays interpret the story of Australia's inland river system, the history of Paddlesteamers, and how they connected a fledging colony to its growing cities and outside world.
